Storyline: Liam wakes from a car crash with no memory of who he is. As he makes his way into town to look for help, he finds only dead bodies, all with strange pale eyes. Liam's first assessment is that a virus is present in the air, but he soon discovers the horrible truth: anyone who comes within a 50-foot radius of him dies instantly.
An efficient sci-fi.
There's a couple of things i'd like to say about this movie, first of all i consider this to be a good movie because of all of the elements at play working together. Separated all these elements aren't much, for example the acting isn't all that good but in the context of the movie it doesn't stand out. Another thing that kept bugging me was the fact that the initial plot of the movie is exactly the same as a short that appeared in an anime movie called "Memories" by Katsuhiro Otomo, the short is called "Stink Bomb" and its basically about a guy that kills everyone around him without him knowing about it at first,(back to the movie) except the plot quickly thickened by the appearance of his counterpart Jane. And yet again i felt the movie making sense as the plot kept having twists, a little exaggerated in the end but very efficient all in all. I will not say more as i don't want to spoil any of you.2017-11-16
You'll enjoy asking yourself: "Where is it all going?"
Very interesting film. To describe it best without spoiling: it's a cross-genre type of movie, the kind that keeps the audience wondering where to file it. And you shouldn't know more on forehand since the whole scenario is based on that perpetual questioning in the viewer's mind. The title and the poster lead you to believe it's going to be a sci-fi flick (and that's where it starts) but then it slides into something else. Which obviously may be disappointing for hardcore sci-fi fans. Nevertheless that's where lies the trick that makes it a good movie. It's not a Hollywood big budget production, think more of a Black Mirror type of product. Totally watchable and enjoyable.2017-11-14
Enjoyed this film
As a Diego Klattenhoff fan, I'd been waiting to see this for 18 months. The movie was worth the wait. Steeve Leonard and Caroline Labreche came up with an intriguing concept, and executed it well. As others have stated, this premise has been used before, but in this case, it's more the human element that carries the film. The current action, laced with the (jarring at times) flashbacks tells the story. And we go on the journey with Liam and Jane as they piece together just what happened to them. It had me guessing until the end and kept me on my toes the entire time. Great performances by Diego Klattenhoff and Charlotte Sullivan really carry this film, and at times they are the only two on screen for quite a while. I really felt for what they were going through, and it was one of those movies that I didn't want to end. While the sci-fi element of the film may not be padded out enough, the personal story of the two protagonists makes it worth watching.2017-11-11
A big waste of a great idea.
Such and interesting idea, completely killed by being sidelined... shame. I was wondering why did they even include that radius bit in the movie, since wasn't suited for this kind of movie at all. It was a generic thriller and the radius thing felt like a completely pointless gimmick. Imagine taking the Titanic movie and putting the robots from Transformers into it, just because whatever. This is how the genre mix felt in Radius. This makes me very sad ,because this idea had sooo much potential and it was completely wasted on a movie, where it made zero sense to be in.2017-11-10
Do NOT watch this terrible waste of time
IMDb is a great site for finding out what a movie is BEFORE you watch it. For example, whether it makes any sense at all. This movie doesn't and takes the easy way out of a muddled mess of a horror film by having the main character shoot himself in the head at the very end, which of course prevents any explanation of why being near him, except for one woman, will kill people. Thus the entire movie is people dying who get close to him. That is the entire premise of the movie in a horrible, stupid nutshell. Whoever gives this movie more than 1 star needs to be admitted quickly to the nearest mental institution as it has absolutely no entertainment value whatsoever. As I dragged myself through this confusing mess I kept wondering if there would actually be any explanation of how the man suddenly become toxic but it was not explained, other than showing a flashback where he appeared to be hit by lightning but it never delved into what it did to him. The people who wrote this are idiots and people like me who watched it got ripped off!2017-11-16
There are many movies that begin with someone who wakes up after an accident and can't remember anything, but Radius surprises with a deeper meaning and a twist I didn't expect (and I'm good at figuring out plots.) Even the SciFi element is part of the deeper layer. Diego Klattenhoff carries the movie with his performance. His strength to express raw emotions just with his body language and his facial expression is a great plus.2017-11-13
Worth a watch
A lot of people don't like the movie, but I did. I think if a person can look at the message in a philosophical manner you will understand the ending. It's a twist, and I liked it. Movies often bore me, but this didn't. The acting was fine; steady rhythm going through the story. Use a brain, some discerning intellect and you may like it. There was a lot of fluidity in the movie, which is why it held my attention. I began to anticipate the outcome, then discovered I was wrong after all. The movie is quiet; requires people to pay attention and not fidgit.2017-11-11
Intriguing, then "yawn" the end.
Interesting at first. Kept looking for a big reveal. Constantly questioning the characters actions and reasoning. Why did they do that, or why did they say that. Their actions at times didn't make any sense. The ending was weak, an easy way out and fell flat. Disappointing. Would not recommend.2017-11-10
Tightly scripted thriller
There are only three characters in this movie, and they are all interesting: a guy with no memory, a shady loner, and a girl on the run. There is no telling who you can trust. We don't know whether these people are who they say they are, or what they are up to. Are they really as clueless as they appear? Are they trying to deceive each other about their identities and their intentions, or is the movie trying to deceive us? You will find yourself on the edge of your seat all the way to the end. It's a twisted mix of thriller and tragedy, with a zest of science fiction thrown in, although even that is open to debate. In any case, this is one lean machine of a movie. The writers give us next to no context and only the vaguest sense of place and time. Everything you see and hear drives the plot. Don't miss it.2017-09-13
